#FOODIEMUSE : Leaning Tower of Lemon Bars

May 03, 2016 by Dianne Osei in Dessert

Introducing #foodiemuse! The #foodiemuse series is a collective of recipes by my favorite food bloggers. These recipes leave me yearning for another crumble, another taste—and ultimately, another chance to make them all over again. This week’s #foodiemuse is Heart of a Baker!

My sweet tooth is unrelenting. In the past, I've done some not-so-great things to feed it. Let's just say, I've come a long way since eating bags of white chocolate chips for dinner.  Now, I prefer a complex palate of sweetness--which brings me to these lemon bars I discovered by Heart of a Baker!

They differ from your traditional lemon bar recipe, but don't let it stop you from making them. I said yes to something new, took a lean of faith, and whipped up a batch.

Then, something magical happened…

I took a bite and shared them with myself—three times over!—before offering them to my family. (Knowing me, I had to perform a rigorous 3-point taste test to ensure they were THAT good!)

So, what makes this recipe so good? It’s the perfect mix of tart lemon sealed in a coconut kiss. The contrast is what makes it an absolutely addictive sweet treat.

Would I make them again? You betcha! For coworkers, myself, friends, and anyone else who asks. When these tarts arrive on the scene, small talk ceases, ‘cause it ain’t no lie, these treats will go Bye, Bye, Bye!

So without further ado, check out this quirked version I dub the Leaning Tower of Lemon Tarts!
